Dr. Miriam Wheeler is licensed naturopathic physician in Arizona, and received her doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM).
Her passion lies in empowering patients to help them become the best possible version of themselves. Dr. Wheeler’s practice follows a holistic approach, utilizing therapies that promote and restore health in a safe, gentle, and effective manner for patients of all ages. In treating acute and chronic conditions, Dr. Wheeler emphasizes natural therapies with evidence-based established efficacy and safety. She advocates an individualized and patient-centered approach to treatment and focuses on therapies that stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal. She believes that this gentle, yet profound approach allows for recovery, along with a lowered predisposition to future illness.
A native of Arizona, she received a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences from University of Arizona in 2010. Upon graduation from SCNM in 2014, she completed three years of residency; two years in naturopathic family practice at SCNM’s Medical Center, followed by a one-year, highly competitive specialty residency in homeopathic medicine under the mentorship of the esteemed Dr. Stephen Messer.
Dr. Wheeler continues to train and supervise naturopathic medical students at SCNM and serves as adjunct faculty for the college. Dr. Wheeler has been published in American Journal of Homeopathic Medicine and The American Homeopath.
